Re: DARE Monitoring and Evaluation
As part of our aim to monitor the DARE programme and its delivery, in order to maintain standards, assess our strengths, and identify any areas of development as well as future training needs, we have set up an evaluation system. This incorporates feedback from children, class teachers, parents and carers, alongside feedback from the DARE Officers.
You can download copies of the 3 evaluation forms here:
§ DARE programme curriculum review 2007/2008 - this gives you the opportunity to comment on the content and structure of the DARE programme lessons and activities. This will inform us of considerations for future programmes.
If you have used the Primary Programme pre and post questionnaires,
there may be some points from these that you wish to comment on, as
well as the children’s own reflection in lesson 10, which may suggest
skills and knowledge that they feel has or hasn’t been gained from the
course.
§ DARE programme parent/carer questionnaire 2007/2008 - please could you send out a copy of this questionnaire to each child who has undertaken the DARE programme this year, and ask them to take it home for their parents/carers to complete, and return to school.
§ DARE Officer Assessment 2007/2008 - this provides you with an opportunity to comment on the delivery of the programme. If you have any concerns about the DARE Officer’s delivery, or the programme itself, please don’t wait until the course has ended, please contact Mel Vella: mel@dare.uk.com 0115 9007232.
§ DARE programme curriculum review (50/50 and Teacher Led course)
As part of the DARE programme, the children are asked to write a report in their workbook that is an evaluation of their views of the programme and what they have gained from it. If you have any work from the DARE course that you would like to share with us, please send it to the office. We will use this as evidence of the children’s experiences of DARE.
Any work can be sent to: DARE (UK) Ltd, DARE House, Bluecoat School, Aspley Lane, Nottingham. NG8 5GY. Telephone: 0115 9007232.
