Rainworth Skoda and DARE UK announced a partnership deal that will included DARE being supplied with a brand new Skoda Fabia for use by DARE staff.   The sponsorship deal is seen as yet another step forward for DARE as it becomes more and more established as a high quality provider of essential life skills education for young people.   Ian Wilson of Rainworth Skoda stated “We at Rainworth Skoda are very please to announce our association and sponsorship with DARE.  It is an acknowledgment of the excellent and important work that it does within the community for the good of all, particularly our future, the success of youth, and the growth of good communities of tomorrow.  DARE and Skoda are much the same...they are both quality they are both "NOW"   Chief Executive David Gilbert, commented, “We are thrilled that Rainworth Skoda recognises the value of our work. Not only will the vehicle make a valuable contribution to our transport in the area, but it will also continue to promote our name and act as a constant reminder of what we stand for. There are so many influences on a young person’s life, that make it so important that do everything possible to prepare them for growing up in a world where drugs are commonplace. DARE helps young people to develop their knowledge understanding and skills in readiness for those challenges ahead.”   The DARE primary programme is for 9-11 year olds, and consists of 10 one hour sessions delivered by a DARE Officer, a teacher, or a combination of the two. The course provides children with knowledge and skills to help them to make informed decisions, and to develop safe and healthy lifestyles. Topics covered include, tobacco, alcohol, cannabis, volatile substances, bullying, anti social behaviour, and different types of pressure.   The DARE Programme is run in over 260 schools throughout Nottinghamshire and this deal adds to other generous sponsorship in place from high street retailers Wilkinson's.
